Eliane and Iris are two singer-songwriters hailing from Switzerland and based in the USA. Eliane calls both the rocky Swiss Valais Alps and New York City’s concrete jungle her homes. Iris with Italian roots grew up by the pristine lakes of the Swiss canton Ticino and now lives by the Pacific Ocean in San Diego. Long time friends, their musical journey has brought them all over the world representing Swissness in festivals, embassies, and major events including the World Expo in Milan, the reception of the Swiss president 2024, Viola Amherd, La Settimana della Lingua Italiana in Central America, and many more. Eliane and Iris both appeared on The Voice of Switzerland and performed in the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival and Ascona Jazz Festival among others.
Eliane and Iris make a powerful and charismatic duo, capturing international audiences with their diverse musical styles and linguistic prowess. They bring a wealth of talent and experience to the stage, highlighting their individual creativity and seamless synergy. The charming Swiss Misses offer a concert experience that ranges from fresh takes on Swiss Folk music, French and Italian repertoire, original arrangements of 80s Euro Hits in countless languages, and a musical wine tasting featuring Swiss wines. Both prolific songwriters, singers, and multi-instrumentalists, they add their own style and mastery to every project they create.
Iris and Eliane are experienced educators and can conduct masterclasses on a variety of subjects, which they adapt to age and proficiency level of students.
On request, Eliane and Iris also host an interactive audience competition of concert and pop music trivia. This blend of game show formats (think Jeopardy, Jeux sans frontières, and Name that Tune) has audience teams test their knowledge of each other's pop culture by identifying hit songs with just a few notes or guessing national hits across several decades. This musical experience is a perfect networking icebreaker for a cultural exchange between different countries or an opportunity to playfully compete with your co-workers or club members from your own culture.

BIO
ELIANE AMHERD
Eliane is a genre-busting singer, guitarist, and songwriter. Born in Switzerland and based in NYC, she has performed in clubs and festivals from Buenos Aires to Berlin, Bangkok to Beijing, and everywhere in between. Combining Jazz, Latin, African, and Brazilian rhythms with funky grooves and retro pop, she creates a sophisticated sound all her own. You can find her original music on Netflix, in several award-winning series, and on international broadcasts. Her melodies and lyrics are as fresh as the Swiss Alps where she was raised, taking you on a voyage from the stunning vineyards of Switzerland to New York City’s canyons of steel.
A graduate of The New School University for Jazz and Contemporary Music New York, Eliane has performed for Embassies and Consulates around the globe and entertained companies like Bvlgari, Bâloise, MySwitzerland Tourism, and major events like the opening of the Swiss Business Hub in Hong Kong, the Soirée Suisse in Washington DC, the European Language Days in Sri Lanka, the 20th anniversary of Switzerland in the United Nations in NYC and many more. Eliane had the honor to compose a song Viola for the reception of the Swiss Bundespresident 2024, Viola Amherd. She was a contestant on the first edition of the Voice of Switzerland and the runner-up for Best Singer Songwriter in Switzerland at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Eliane was the musical director of the OrchExtra Gottardo at the World Expo Milan, the musical director of the Frauenstimmen Festival in Brig, and the first recipient of the Musik Pro award from the canton Valais.
IRIS MONÉ
Iris Moné is a Swiss-Italian singer and songwriter living in San Diego. Hailed as one of Switzerland’s most beautiful voices, the national press crowned her “Queen of the Blues to Bop Festival”, in Lugano. She was the runner-up at the Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition and a finalist on The Voice of Switzerland. Iris is featured on many albums as a lead or backup singer and performed in Europe, the USA, Central America, and Africa.
Her soulful pop songs are broadcast internationally, and she is an acclaimed songwriter for various artists. She was a vocal coach at the Swiss TV program Showtime and a juror for the international finals of the Eurovision Song Contest. Iris has performed for several Embassies and Consulates including events like La Settimana della Lingua Italiana in Panama, Costa Rica, and El Salvador. She sang the American National Anthem at the San Diego Baseball Stadium Petco Park twice and appeared on Italian Television at the Tombola Radiotelevisiva besi

Swiss Miss has toured since 2006 in different formations all around the world. You can find them playing in Swiss mountain huts as well as in Swiss colonies and Swiss Embassies. The album Swiss Miss: heimweh, arranged and produced by Eliane Amherd, was a big success in Switzerland and featured twelve renowned female Swiss singers representing different generations, music styles, and ethnic backgrounds.
